The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federal program that helps low-income pregnant women, infants, and young children access important food and nutrition resources. Each state runs its own WIC program to meet local needs.
For Maryland WIC, I designed a series of booklets that share nutrition information based on each developmental stage covered by the program. Each booklet includes English and Spanish versions, and I used WIC’s brand colors—along with some complementary colors—to create a fun and cheerful feel. The copy was provided in both languages by Maryland WIC.
These booklets help communicate important health information to caregivers and families across the state in a way that’s easy to understand and approachable.
